We Have 10 Seconds Before The Concrete Sets and Reality Hardens

Will Smith, had 10 seconds to choose a different, thought, before the, concrete set, and, reality, hardened when he slapped Chris Rock on national television

I just finished reading Will Smith’s biography “Will"  I really enjoyed reading his book and recommend it to anyone interested in changing their mindset.

There were 3 main quotes from, Will Smith's, book  that I loved, one of them was “You have 10 seconds until the concrete sets and, reality, hardens.” I think this is a good time to talk about what that really means and reference what happened at the, 94th Oscars, between, Will Smith, and, Chris Rock.

Will Smith's Biography "Will"

The book starts off with, Will Smith, calling himself a, coward, because he watched his father often slap his mother and reign terror on his family as a child. He felt he was a, coward, because he didn’t do anything about it.

His father’s legacy was also the year that he made, Will Smith, and his brother Harry build a concrete wall so Will learned his concrete, analogy, from personal experience “You have 10 seconds until the, concrete sets, and, reality, hardens.

Will used this analogy when his friend and fellow performer Ready Rock did not come out on stage for his set when he called for him, because he was jealous of Will’s success. He gave him 10 seconds to make a better choice and when he didn’t, reality, set and Will never called for him again.

He used this same concrete, analogy, of, reality, setting, when his girlfriend Melonie was about to go out somewhere and he told her not to go and she walked through the door anyway. The, concreate set, and the, reality, was that it was over. Will Smith, set her clothes on fire and never saw her again.

Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock

By now you have all heard or seen the, slap, on national television. Will Smith, did not like something that, Chris Rock, said about his wife. Chris Rock, make fun of her hair, and now he himself had 10 seconds until the, concrete set, to change that, reality.  10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3,  Will Smith,  walked up on stage and slapped, Chris Rock, in the face and the, concrete set, and reality hardened.

He can never take that back regardless how much he cries, how much he apologizes he can never take it back, it will live on, on the internet forever.

The concrete has set and, reality, hardened. Whether you believe, Chris Rock, was wrong to joke about Jada’s bald head, we know it was wrong for, Will Smith, to walk on stage at the, Oscars, and, slap, him.

Will Smith Grew up with Domestic Violence

Will Smith's father was a bully and he grew up with  domestic violence, seeing his father  slap his wife and kids until his mother eventually left him, and in an out of body experience, Will Smith, became his dad. He got out of his seat and slapped someone because he did not like what he said about his wife.

In his autobiography, published in November 2021, the actor describes at length the appalling, domestic violence, he and his three siblings witnessed his father, Willard, inflict on his mother.

“When I was nine years old, I watched my father punch my mother in the side of the head so hard that she collapsed,” he wrote. “I saw her spit blood. That moment in that bedroom, probably more than any other moment in my life, has defined who I am. I am a, coward"

Will Smith thinks he is a coward

Will Smith, says “Within everything that I have done since then — the awards and accolades, the spotlights and attention, the characters and the laughs — there has been a subtle string of apologies to my mother for my inaction that day. For failing her in the moment. For failing to stand up to my father. For being a, coward.

“What you have come to understand as ‘Will Smith’, the alien-annihilating MC, the bigger-than-life movie star, is largely a construction – a carefully crafted and honed character designed to protect myself. To hide myself from the world. To hide the, coward.”

Training the mind to make a better choice

So how do we make better choices in the 10 seconds before the, concrete sets? You have to, train the mind.  Just like you can’t learn to swim when you are drowning, you can’t make good choices when you are thrown in the fire; unless the, mind, is trained on what to do in the fire and then takes over on autopilot.

Start training your mind to make the right choices because when the, concrete sets, there is no going back, reality, becomes permanent.

When you feel that rage bubbling up inside you, choose a better, thought.  Count to 10 and breathe because the devil is driving around looking for people to destroy. The prison is full of both men and women who had 10 seconds to choose and made the wrong choice.

What would have happened if Will Smith chose a better thought

Ready Rock made the wrong choice, Melonie made the wrong choice and now Will Smith, made the wrong choice. Let’s imagine that, Will Smith, had continued to pretend that he liked the joke. In those 10 seconds he would have laughed while seething inside, 40 mins later he would have accepted his, academy award, and realized that had reached the pinnacle of his career. The concrete would have set on joy and victory and he would have gone home and forget about Chris Rock’s joke, but the, concrete set, on a bad choice and now no one will forget.

When God Choses you: You Can't Mess Up Your Destiny

The bible story of Abraham and Sarah  illustrates that whatever, purpose,  God has for you, if you are, chosen, you can’t mess up your, destiny. God will fight for you.

This is Life Coach Myrna Young and today I want to encourage you and give you hope that regardless of what is presenting in your life at the moment, you can’t mess up your, purpose and destiny.

Download The Podcast Here:

https://pdcn.co/e/https://chrt.fm/track/897G7/www.buzzsprout.com/1761155/10263494-when-god-choses-you-you-can-t-mess-it-up.mp3?download=true

Sarah's Destiny

I Want to use the, bible story, of, Abraham, and his wife,  Sarah, as the foundation for this revelation that if God Choses you, you can’t mess up your, destiny.

God said to, Abraham, “Regarding your wife Sarai, her name will no longer be Sarai from now on her name will be, Sarah, and I will bless her and give you a son from her! Yes, I will bless her richly, and she will become the mother of many nations. Kings of nations will be among her descendants."

Sarah, was chosen like Mary was chosen as the mother of Jesus.

God then told, Abraham, to leave his father’s house and move to a foreign land, so Abraham moved around and lived as a foreigner in many places. While living in these places he introduced his wife, Sarah, as his sister because he did not want the men to kill him to get his wife.

Apparently, Sarah, at 90 years old was still beautiful and desirable. Don’t we all wish, men would be fighting for us when we are 90 years old!

[caption id="attachment_5322" align="alignnone" width="300"]Transform Your Mind Podverse.fm Transform Your Mind Podverse.fm[/caption]

Sarah taken to the King to be his wife

Abraham, was right because King Abimelech of Gerar sent for, Sarah, and had her brought to him in his palace with the intention of making her his wife.

But God stepped in!  No one messes with God’s chosen vessel. God couldn’t have King Abimelech defile, Sarah, because then she would not be fit to be the mother of nations.

He appeared to Abimelech in a dream and told him “You are a dead man, for that woman you have taken is already married”

Abimelech responded that he was innocent, Abraham, told him she was his sister.

God replied “that is why I kept you from sinning against me, and why I did not let you touch her.”

Now return the woman to her husband

[caption id="attachment_5323" align="alignnone" width="300"]RadioPublic Transform your mind RadioPublic Transform your mind[/caption]

Sarah's Destiny fulfilled

The lord also released a curse on all the women of Gerar causing them to be infertile, because Abimelech had taken his chosen vessel, Sarah, to be his wife. Don’t mess with God’s chosen vessel, he will fight for you.

Abraham had to pray for them to be healed after, Sarah, was returned.

One year later Sarah became pregnant and named her son Isaac. She fulfilled her, purpose and destiny, by becoming the mother of many nations and God kept his covenant promise he made to, Abraham.

You Can't mess up your Destiny

This story illustrates that whatever, purpose,  God has for you, if you are, chosen, you can’t mess it up. God will fight for you.

  • You could make boneheaded decisions, like go back to an, unhealthy relationship,  because better is not showing up. God will find a way to get you out, because he has a, purpose, for your life.
  • You could give up on your child because they have gone down the wrong path, but God can reach them in a dream and  inspire them to fulfil the, purpose, he has for their life.

If you are chosen you can’t mess it up

So, if you have taken the wrong turn in life, if you came to a fork in the road and you chose the wrong exit, just know that God will get you back on the right path, because he promised:

I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"

So be encouraged, you can’t mess this up.

Thanks for tuning into 5 min Fridays with Coach Myrna.  Until next time Namaste .

The, Quest for Purpose, Six Holistic Ways to Finding your Purpose

What is your, quest for purpose,? All of us are seeking for some kind of purpose. In this episode Dr. Ken Keis coaches on six holistic approaches or benchmarks to your, quest for purpose,.

Intro to our topic:

Dr. Ken Keis, is a highly sought-after author, speaker, trainer, podcast host, and TV and media guest. His latest books include: Why Aren't You More Like Me? Deliberate Leadership, and The Quest For Purpose.

So many people listening have been trapped down a pathway that was really sort of conditioned from their background.  I woke one morning and asked myself if this was what I wanted to be doing in 20 years from now, and the answer was no. So, I immediately took action.  I decided to qui farming and hired a coach to help me figure out what I wanted to do in life. My, quest for purpose, began. What was my purpose in life?  The answer,  to help others to live, lead and work on purpose.

My coach passed away from cancer many years ago now, and I just took his process and then added and enhanced it.  Basically it was a self-discovery narrative and an interactive sort of process.

What are the six Holistic approaches to the, quest for purpose,?

A lot of times what happens people don't realize their purpose because the question is too big. It's overwhelming and what we're trying to do here is get people to fine tune all the components of their life to go to the next level.

So let's go through these benchmarks to find your purpose through the, quest for purpose,

1. First Benchmark is, Personal Style, CRG is an assessment company. In our, quest for purpose, one of our assessments is called “the personal style indicator.”  We believe  that we are all born with a certain Personal style.  Not right not wrong and we develop and we change and we mature in life but our personal style never changes. Myrna is the same Myrna from 10 years ago.  In other words Myrna can wake up in the morning and still count on Myrna being Myrna.

2. Biophysical Influences, like Health concerns, physical and mental disabilities. The statistics of North American health is that 75 to 80 percent of people are unwell at some level and another 50 percent are diabetic or pre-diabetic.  So there's no way if I am thinking of  my purpose if I'm sick.  I don't have energy,  I have chronic fatigue syndrome, I have immunity disorder or whatever is going on.  90 to 95 percent of all illness is lifestyle related.  In my, quest for purpose,   I need to take my body and treat it well.  If I have a racehorse and I don't take care of that racehorse and then try to have it win the Kentucky Derby, it’s not going to happen.

3. Self-worth – What you think of yourself. We have another assessment called “the self-worth inventory”  In our, quest for purpose, our confidence levels  highly influence the decisions we make or not make.  So maybe you actually have an idea of your purpose but you don't have the courage to step into it.

4. Environmental systems – Schools , workplace, culture.  We are a product of our environment.  If I grew up in Florida versus LA or New York, Toronto or Vancouver versus Afghanistan, I'm going to have a different perspective on life.

5. Social Teachers – Parents, teachers, pastors  As a kid you you very curious. You  watched how your parents interacted, they're teaching you how to treat others. The songs you listened to there's now linkage towards violence and video games.  In your, quest for purpose, be aware of what you’re letting in, who you’re working with, who are nurturing your personal relationships.

6. Emotional Anchors or triggers – Divorce,  physical and verbal abuse, death of a loved one are all triggers.  Any kind of event in life that causes either positive or negative associations becomes a trigger.  Every single person listening or reading has triggers.  You had an event in life that creates an emotional response.  This goes back to a trigger that has been anchored, in many cases these triggers are subconscious.  In your, quest for purpose, you don't realize your purpose because you’re angry.  You can also have unforgiveness.  You have not really released yourself of this traumatic event.  I had my girlfriend when I was 21 years old  murdered by a friend of mine.  If I didn’t let go of that event from 1982, it would affect me forever.

7. Spirituality, - This is a bonus because it covers everything.  We are spiritual beings have a human experience. All of these seven benchmarks, come together to develop the whole person.  They are essential in our, quest for purpose. That's why developing all these areas is critic to living your life on purpose.
Transform your mind iTunes link

Because we are spiritual beings having a human experience, our thoughts are so powerful.  What you believe is the environment in which you live. <strong><a href="https://www.brucelipton.com/" target="_blank">Dr Bruce Lipton  talks about the fact and the fact that our perceptions affects our reality.

Spirituality, is also consciously spending time developing yourself.  It is a fact that you create your world.  Most of us believe that we are product of circumstances; but if you believe that you actually can design and create your world,  that's what you will create.  So yes, spirituality,  the spiritual part of you is very important to finding your purpose.

Conclusion

Very powerful conversation with Dr. Ken Keis.  Dr Keis is the author of “The Quest for Purpose” A self-discovery process to find it and live it!

To listen to the full episode, download on iTunes. google play, iheart radio, tunein radio, sticher,

To quickly summarize,  Dr. Keis  gave us seven personality development models called benchmarks, that can help you in your, quest for purpose,  we talked about personality style,  we talked about wellness and stress and how it affects how you show up in life,  we talked about, self-worth and self-confidence. How that  affects what you go after.  We talked about the, environmental systems, where you were born and what your parents expect you to become.   We talked about, social teachers,  the news and our, emotional triggers.  If something bad happened to you a lot of times, people can't get over it.  This event  hijacks them and it controls most of their thinking.

We talked about, spirituality,  which is all-encompassing because we are spiritual beings and what we believe, has one of the most predominant effects in your, quest for purpose,

How to Dream Big in the Quantum Matrix

Ilona Selke, shares The concept of dreaming big. Dreaming big means not letting  yourself become or think small. Not to just react to what life’s dishing out.
Today on the Transform Your Mind with Coach Myrna podcast, I interview the author of Dream Big, the universe is listening, Ilona Selke.  I am Coach Myrna Young and I am so excited to be talking to international best-selling author Ilona Selke. Ilona is travelling the USA directly from Bali where she spends seven months of a year. So envious, Ilona is promoting her new book, “Dream Big, the Universe is Listening”
I want to introduce our topic by saying that you’re not going to believe How the Universe is listening to me! Today we’re going to be talking about "Shifting your Reality in the Quantum Matrix.
I meditate every morning and then I go walking and meditate some more while I listen to podcasts. This morning I was listening to the Hay House World Summit podcast and the guest was Dr. Bruce Lipton, he was teaching  us that Quantum Mechanics or the Quantum field is the foundation for all Sciences and that Chemistry and Biology sit on top of the Quantum mechanics field. When I came back from my meditation, I put a note in my journal that I needed to read some more Quantum books. Then as I going over our show notes, I noticed that your book is about the Quantum Mechanics field and that we’re going to be talking about Quantum Mechanics today is that will fast track my learning!
Ilona is an International Best-selling Author, seminar leader, lecturer, musician CEO and co-founder of Living from Vision. Ilona has inspired thousands of people worldwide to discover the power of their consciousness and to create successful lives. Ilona has written four books, produced music and meditation CDs, co-authored two books one with Brian Tracy, and one with Jack Canfield, she also has been a regular guest on A&E, Bravo TV with Jack Canfield, and a producer and TV show host for Quantum Living show on women’s broad broadcast TV
Here are three easy steps to talk to the Universe:
1. Describe it
2. Imagine it,
3. Feel it
as if you have already arrived. Allow yourself five minutes, the luxury of being in your fulfilment. Five minutes, millions of people just see it. Five million listeners around the world. How would you feel right now if you had five million listeners?
I would feel good. I would feel that I was given a mandate from God and I would protect that mandate by caring for my 5 million listener. I would make sure they are fed, inspiring messages every week and that my platform will contain good content. I have the intention that I want to reach the world before every recording.
